A Candidate For Living is the story of my life on the road since 9/15/05. this website was created, and is updated, from the road, at various locations throughout the country where computers with free internet access are available - primarily public libraries and universities. i do not own a laptop. therefore, updates and design changes are infrequent but done as possible. this work in progress is funded primarily thru a credit card, and the kindness of friends and strangers alike via donations.
finally arrived in omaha, ne around 5pm or so. went downtown and wandered for a few minutes. asked some goth kids if anything was going on in town or if they knew any cool places to check out. tilly and the wall were playing at the bemis center. $25 though, but you did get free beer and food. thought about but just wandered some more. ended up in drastic plastic, a music store, and chatted with some guys in there. michael, chris, and scott. turns out michael's brother used to live in boone, nc like me. oliver? didn't ring a bell. but i'm sure someone who's reading this knows an oliver who used to live in boone. anyway, i tell them about travelling; living out of the car and all; chris offers to let me crash at his place for the night and get in another shower. shit yeah! so get his digits and we all plan to meet up later. bought the hookers(old murder city devilsband) cd while i'm there. fitting i found it, since the deathcab is decorated with the skull logo of the murder city devils.
I shopped at Drastic Plasic all the time when I lived in Omaha- it is/was the best record store in town. Glad you found it- I was wondering if it culd poassibly still me there.

wow, that was some seriously crappy typing... what I meant to type is "I was wondering it is COULD possibly still BE there"
Drastic Plastic is where I got my first Bad Brains record. Ahhhh- fond memories.
And I still got it wrong...
I give up.
